This review relates to my attempts to book an appointment... I cannot comment on the service provided as I haven't been able to access it yet!!!
Trying for 5 days to make an appointment. Nothing available on their app and the phone is constantly engaged.
How can I make an appointment?

Useless. Can't book an appointment over the phone unless you use their Extremely useless website that doesn't have have the features it should have.
Basically if you need to see a Dr, like I do today You ring, then no answer just beeps then you bite the bullet and go online to book an appointment (only between half 7 and half 9) and the options not there.
I'm sure If I drag myself out of bed and throw up allover the surgery someone will do something but even then I wouldn't put it past the rude, snotty and unprofessional reception staff to tell me I need to go online and make an appointment.
The one time I have had an appointment, it wasn't face to face, they had no idea what was wrong and ended up giving me pills that stripped my stomach and left me unable to work.
Rubbish surgery and website, don't waste your time or health.

It seems completely impossible to get through on the phone lines the service is constantly busy! If anyone is managing to see a doctor I will be surprised, there’s no way of getting an appointment. They need to have separate phone lines for their surgeries ie 1 for immingham, a different one for weelsby etc.

If I could give this surgery -5 stars I absolutely would, absolutely terrible. Worst doctors surgery ever! I’ve been trying to get an appointment for over a week now and the phones have been off the hook. Tried ask my GP but it fills up so fast and they don’t take appointments for the future only on the day. Absolutely ridiculous. It’s a 50/50 toss up if you’ll actually get a doctor that’s decent and actually hears you out. I’ve been with this surgery all my life but I’m going to change because everyone I’ve spoken to says how abnormal it is to get ahold of literally anyone never mind securing an appointment. If you are physically able, I would highly recommend registering with a different doctors because I cannot describe how bad these are. I’ve put in numerous complaints about accusations by doctors and trying to get an appointment and nothings ever been sorted. They need new management or to be shut down. Roxton practice is without a doubt, absolutely the most awful doctors surgery that you can be with. If you don’t believe me check Facebook groups everyone hates them!!! Such a nightmare!!!!

no practise is perfect, and you can't generalise. There's a lot of excellent work, by mostly dedicated professional and caring staff. the telephone team have been awesome for us, the pharmacy team have been great, nurses have been super, Doctor Thrippleton has been amazing. Thank you

If I could give negative stars I would. I have been misdiagnosed. Ignored repeatedly. Important life changing and damaging diagnoses actually mis-reported to me and then they've left me untreated for almost 3 years. They've dropped my meds by accident and then refused to put them back to where they should be. Actually accused me of being a drug addict whilst trying to repair the damage theyve done by making the mistakes they m ade. Noone has ever bothered to actually learn about my rare and debilitating condition in the last decade despite it needing specific treatment. A lot of my samples given in have been lost, bloods needed never fully taken and having to redone...A LOT. refused a smear despite it being overdue. Refused me a referral for fertility reasons and then there's the 'CARE' navigators. Absolutely useless. Rude, arrogant and actively obtrusive. They treat you like cretins and have no regard for mental health, distress or physical pain. None seem to be medically trained enough to decide whether or not we need to see a GP but act like they have the hand of God up their back end guiding them. I've been abused, shouted at and argused with until I've actually had a nervous breakdown and stopped asking for help.
Ask my GP is dehumanising, ridiculous and worse than the previous system by a mile. Just look at the other reviews, We are not alone, there are many more all thinking the same thing. This used to be a wonderful practice with incredible doctors and you felt listened to, treated and pseen as human. This new system DOES NOT WORK. Your patients all see it but you refuse to and worse pretend to and then ignore us all over again. The town needs a brand new practice to do what this one doesn't.
Also deserving of a mention... the atrocious parking situation. They could have least had an entrance and an exit instead of the unreasonable $hit show it is. But its ok the doctors have a mainly unused car park that would clear all other parking issues up. Mainly anyway.
Good side. A few great nurses and health assistants and Dr Melton, Dr Opie and Dr Thrippleton and occasionally a locum are excellent. But the list is tragically small. There are a couple of good reception staff too but again, they're rare. I've Been with the practice for 48 years and this is the worst it's ever been. It's criminal.
All in all I'd consider a new Gp if you can. And despite the detail in this I dont actually take pleasure in writing this. But I would bet my life I'm not alone in my experience.
Sorry, not sorry. I've tried discussing this with them and I've been stonewalled, repeatedly. We deserve better.

I call everytime and i cannot call because is busy. I try to call not working , after 9 working but no one cares because you must to call until 9,but evean but you stay one hour to try to talk for an appointment, no one cares. If you go there, no one cares, they send you home and they tell you to call, but not later than 9
Howwww not later than 9 if no one answer if the phone and the site is not working to to ann F..... Appointment????you can tell what you want, the service is awful! This is an joke. Is like we play who is doctor and who is patients, but we must be respectful. But here isn't anymore respect for people!

Tried AskmyGP at 07:30. Unavailable. Finally got through on the phone at 09:45. to be told the practice was closing at 13:00, despite AskmyGP showing doctors available in the afternoon. Was then told the GP I wanted was not available until Monday, despite him being shown as available tomorrow, Friday. What is the point of an availability screen if it cannot be accurate?

My first visit to this practise on Tuesday for a shingles vaccination. It all went extremely well from start to finish and the practise nurse was very helpful, knowledgeable and professional throughout. The website is very good and I was able to make all the arrangements for an appointment with no difficulty. For an Oldie like myself that was very encouraging.
